About

A family-owned advocate between your business and the utility.

ARC Energy is a family-owned and operated company built to give commercial and industrial customers someone in their corner when it comes to one of the largest, least-questioned lines on the operating budget: the utility bill.

Why this firm exists.

Most businesses treat the utility bill as a fixed cost. It isn’t. It’s a contract with a rate sheet, a meter reading, and a long list of charges that are negotiated, audited, and corrected every day — just not by the people paying them.

We operate ARC Energy as a family business, and that shows up in how we treat each engagement: personally, carefully, and with long-term accountability. We have no affiliation with any utility, no kickbacks from equipment vendors, and no interest in selling you a product. The only thing we sell is honest analysis and the patience to follow it through.

How we work

Four principles that shape every engagement.

i.

Independent, full stop.

No utility partnerships, no vendor commissions, no equipment we’re trying to sell. The only party we represent is the customer signing the engagement letter.

ii.

Findings before fees.

Initial reviews are at no cost. You see what we found and what it’s worth before any meter changes hands. If there’s nothing real to recover, we tell you that, too.

iii.

Plain language, always.

Reports are written so your CFO, your facilities lead, and your board all read the same sentences. No proprietary scoring, no black boxes, no jargon for its own sake.

iv.

Savings that stay saved.

A finding that erodes the moment we leave isn’t a finding. Ongoing oversight is built into how we work — bills get watched, baselines get updated, and savings get defended.

Recent client experience

Confidential work across commercial, institutional, and hospitality accounts.

Many utility reviews involve sensitive operating costs, site-level usage, and vendor information. For that reason, ARC Energy does not publish client names without approval, but our experience includes work across the following types of organizations.

National hospitality brands

Hotel and lodging properties with layered utility profiles, variable occupancy, and location-specific electric, gas, water, and sewer charges.

Food, grocery & culinary operators

High-load accounts where refrigeration, kitchens, and long operating hours make rate selection, demand review, and billing accuracy especially important.

Healthcare and school facilities

Institutional environments where cost savings must be balanced with reliability, continuity, and clear documentation for finance and operations teams.

Commercial real estate portfolios

Multi-meter properties and portfolios with recurring utility spend, tenant impacts, seasonal variation, and opportunities to tighten oversight.

What we don’t do

Just as important as what we do.

No equipment sales.

We aren’t a lighting company, an HVAC contractor, or a solar developer. When equipment makes sense, we say so — and you choose the installer.

No utility relationships.

We are not an agent of any electric, gas, or water provider. Our job is to read their bill carefully, not to defend it.

No deregulated supply gimmicks.

In deregulated markets, we don’t take broker commissions. If a supply move is right for you, we’ll explain why — and how to do it directly.

No long lock-in contracts.

Ongoing oversight is month-to-month after the initial term. If the value isn’t there, you shouldn’t be writing the check.

Have a year of utility bills sitting in a drawer?

Send them over. We’ll tell you whether there’s real money in them — at no cost and under NDA.
